About RRS

Risk Retention Services (RRS)
exists to solve claim and insurance
problems for businesses.

Let's face it; liability issues are a reality of everyday modern life. The more serious problems often require assistance from specialists. RRS has the experience, the knowhow, the resources and the people to provide effective claim and litigation solutions when really needed.

Since 1989, RRS has been assisting clients defend their products and services against the onslaught of claims generated by attorney advertising and the erosion of people taking personal responsibility for their own actions. Whether it is a slip and fall, a product related incident or a property claim RRS is the right partner when it comes to managing claims. Having handled thousands of casualty claims, the professionals at RRS are battle tested and ready to help you take control of your claims.

Although RRS has clients with insurance policies with both types of retentions: deductibles and self-insured retentions (SIR), results are maximized when RRS has the opportunity to manage an SIR. The primary difference between a deductible and SIR is who handles your claims and controls the expenses up to the retention level. Under an SIR, you do. Where with a deductible, the insurer does.

What this means is that working within the insured's SIR, RRS investigates the claim for you and communicates the results to you. This allows you the opportunity to make informed claim decisions based on the facts and removes those decisions from someone whose concerns may not align with your company’s bottom line.

If a claim becomes a lawsuit RRS evaluates and selects defense counsel; participates in directing strategy for the insured; assists and leads the discovery process. RRS serves as the interface between the insured and the insurer advocating on behalf of the insured when needed.
